Guitar stands don’t need to look like camera tripods.

As a luthier, my work primarily focuses on optimizing the instrument for tone, playability, and responsiveness.  I needed a stand that reflected this attention to quality and detail.  While there no shortage of options for stands, I found many fell short aesthetically. Others seemed as though a slight breeze could send a guitar toppling to its demise, and still others left me concerned that the contact points were made of materials that would eat away at a finish over time. In short, presentation matters!

This is a guitar stand crafted as though it were a piece of heirloom furniture. Its vertical design transforms a guitar from something sitting in the corner to the focal point of your music room, office, or be a welcome addition to your living room. It’s a stand that would display your beloved guitar equally well on stage, or in a museum.  The standard version is built using black walnut and figured maple. However, I may be able to switch materials to better suit your space (price may change depending on wood types.)

Sturdy, robust, and not easily tipped over.  The vertical portion of the stand is made of 2 layers of walnut and a maple center that will not twist or warp like stands made from a single board.  The entire stand is finished in a satin oil for a natural look that highlights the unique wood grain of each stand. The base and guitar hanger are removable to make them easier to transport.

I make these to order, and will ship as soon as your stand is ready to go. The guitar pictured is obviously not included. If you want to display your guitar like a sculpture in a museum, then this is the stand you want. Given the nature of wood, your stand will be similar the the sampled picture, but wood color and grain may vary.  Email me if you like the stand, but would like to use another species of wood.  I may be able to accommodate you.
